Who'd own a house *cough* trailer like this!

That is larger and far better equipped than the house that I do live in !!!

Americans, bigger, better and brasher than everyone else. It would not even fit down the lane were we are.

I don't know about the bigger, better and brasher bit really, it comes down to practicality (I mean look at some of the horse lorries showumpers/eventers etc have in the UK, some of those are pretty 'in your face') If you are on the road for months why not be comfortable?

Bigger yes, because gas is cheaper, roads are wider and straighter. The dirt road outside my house in the back of beyond, is dead straight, unfenced (crops don't run away) 10 miles long and 30' wide, no corners just gentle bends. I do laugh when I see them as I always think about British lanes, hedges, stone walls and gateposts and imagine them trying to get into a field, yard or showground! ;):D

Better, compared to what? IW trailers? Of course they are. If you need somewhere to sleep and carry all your kit then yes they are. You don't buy a mini cooper if you have 4 children do you? :)

Brasher? That comes down to personal opinion I guess.

Fab trailer but what would you pull it with?

One of these, although you could get away with not having the sleeper cab :D

I love looking around lorries trailers etc at shows... Dreaming about what life could be like!!

Electric saddle rack?!?!

Wow that's like a house and stables on wheels!

Enfys can I ask is it more common to have a truck and trailer than a rigid lorry in American/Canada?

My parents sold their house 10 years ago and have lived in big american RV's ever since, they are better then most peoples homes! They mainly stay at one park but do move about to go on 'holiday' for several weeks a year. Sometimes have issues with narrow roads and they wont drive it up our farm track (despite the fact we've had a big Eric Gillie lorry up here no problem) as they don't want to scratch the sides. I think the only other issue is sinking it if the ground is too soft!

Oh Yes, absolutely :)

Apparently there are 'lorries' but I have never seen one in six years, Spring Feather may have because she gets around to a lot of events, I have only ever seen trailers, in dozens of sizes and designs.

How funny that is has all that and you can't even drive it, then again you can't drive my flat and that doesn't have an ostrich leather ceiling OR electric saddle racks :-(

No, same as you I never see horseboxes around either. I've only ever seen one rigid body 'horsebox' over here and that was the one our imported British pony was transported home in from New York. I only ever see the trailers as shown in the video above at events. My next door neighbour has a beautiful trailer with 30ft living in it and it carries 4 horses, she tows it with her Dodge Ram 2500. They take the horses down south for months every year so they need a 'home from home'. She also has a 2-horse without living so that she can pootle around here though.
