I have seen four adverts just today, many for short term loan - a year or so, but others for longer.

I've started tentatively looking for another share and there does seem to be more for part or even full loan coming up. I expect there will be more people looking for loans/shares too who might otherwise have bought but perhaps not will so much financial chaos/uncertainty around at the moment (only certain that costs are going up it's just by how much!)

As long as people will still donate to LOCAL RDA groups as their costs are also rising and keeping the ponies/horses will not go down in price.

I have noticed this too - I haven't seen a full loan advert in about 2.5 years but in the last month or so I have probably seen more than 30. It's probably enhanced by being in the south east as part livery is really expensive and there just aren't the DIY options there might be elsewhere

I'd guess the increase would be in "high maintenance" types that will be costly to get through the winter. If I were in financial difficulties I'd loan out the warmbloods & keep the live-out hairy plods.

Here in Suffolk. I haven’t seen much of an increase. It’s that time of the year.

Not seeing much of an increase around here (North West), or at least nothing taller than 15hh, which doesn’t help 5’10 me…

The ones near me all seem to be slightly broken thoroughbreds and 12-14hh cobs
