I'm so madly excited!!!!

The Orange Pony who NEVER shows in season, or hardly at all...

WAS SMACK BANG IN SEASON on Saturday!!! Bless her, I've been telling her for weeks, how much I'll love her and feed her sweeties if she actually shows me she's in season, and when I went out riding on Saturday and met my friend, Asti decided as there aren't any male horses anywhere near, that she'd flirt a bit with Ellie instead.

Booked in for her swab on Friday and I'll hopefully (all being well) be taking her to meet her new man friend the weekend after next!!!!

Can you tell I'm getting really, really mad and hyper-excited about it?????

Today, mostly I love everyone!

PS uber huge hugs to GG and Ellie!!!!

Know how you feel, my mare had all her swabs 2 weeks ago and now we have the 'go ahead' she's booked in to stud on the 3rd, less than two weeks away! Eeek!

If all goes well, we could have foalies at the same time next year

*fingers crossed!*

I had a lovelt ride, stopped to look at the mini-shettie foals on the way home and showed them to Asti - who looked almost interested - they are the cutest fluffy bundles! Then stuffed her full of carrots and polos when I got back...

Got home and out came the calendar to work out some dates.... so *if* Sat was her first day, she should be back in season around the 9/10 June... but *if* it was her last day, then she'll be back in season around 4/5 June.

Planning to take her on around 2/3 June if the results are back in time, fingers crossed everything works from here!!

Good luck and if she is difficult to tell when in season, you can resort to other methods to get the date/timing right.

Chap who has my mare normally prefers to do this as he uses AI so he knows more or less exactly when to have the vet ready and the boys stuff ready for putting in.

I was going to get her scanned on Friday when the swab is done, to see where she was, but she obliged me by being a floozy on saturday instead... and you can see a distinct change in the colour or certain lady bits - which someone told me to look for.

Have rang up and booked her in to go on holiday. I think it'll be much easier when she's there and they can tease her properly with the stallion.

This is just too exciting, I'm getting all giddy!!

Now steady on lady! Just cause your mare is a 'lady lover' doesn't make me one or my mare one!

Well actually Ellie would probably love anyone at the moment
smirk.gif
She has a male field mate that if only he knew how I would be well in with a baby by now.
ooo.gif
She is seriously making out with him which is extrememly embarrassing
blush.gif
Infact she appears to be permanently in season at the moment

But I laughed at her with Asti the other day. Poor Asti was wickering and squirting everytime Ellie went behind her and Ellie was doing her 'ohhhh do behave' sort of face

Anyway let me know how Friday goes!
