We went to view a little shetland on the weekend, as a companion for Raff and for a lead rein pony for my 2yr old...
i was slightly hesitant about shetlands, as i've always thought them to be nippy, but loads of peeps on here persuaded me to consider them... i did... i went to view him... and was absolutely bowled over by his amazingness. he was calm, chilled, unflappable, not bitey, absolutely PERFECT (in fact reminded me very much of a small version of Raff).
As we were leaving the yard... i felt my waters go (33weeks preggers)... so i went to hospital where i was forced to stay in, i kept telling my hubby he had to ring the lady about the shetland to say we wanted him... he said it could wait til the next day... when i was released i rang her straight away... but she said the kids had decided they couldn't bear to part with him... so my heart broke...
anyway, she just rang up and said because i was 'so nice' they wanted us to have him... so, just got to work out transport and where to find some money (just had to fork out WAAAY too much for house survey)... and then he'll be mine mine mine....
here he is:
oh bums, she's taken the ad off horsemart already...
anyway, he's a little black shetland, 7yrs old... and yumyumyummytastic.
