Whoose rugged up non clipped horses yet??

Not me!

Mine is still living on the chub from the september grass that came through, has a decent coat (thick but not long) and will be a while before he feels the cold

He gets clipped at the end of Oct, just before we start stabling again. Then he gets nice snuggly rugs to keep him warm. If the weather is miserable before then, he may get a rainsheet on, but they have outdoor horse furry, greasy coats and have plenty of shelter and grass so I don't really worry.

Nope, it may be a *little* chilly at night, but its still double figures & around 18 odd degree's in the day, so h eis still naked. When it stays below 10 degree' then ill start to think about it.

Well...mine does- he's miserable and tuvked up when chilly and /or wet and loses condition so he is in a LW during the day and a fleece at night. And seeing as he is about 20-ish then I think he deserves to be comfy.

The other arent and wont - they dont get clipped.

I treat my horses as individuals- they all have differing needs in feeding/rugging/farrier etc so I dont have one rule for all.

Mine is. She has a universal sheet on at night, and a lwt turn out if it is chilly in the day. I want her energy to go into putting weight on, not keeping warm!!

Both of mine are still out naked. Its really warm in their fields as they're well sheltered. Gin wont be getting clipped this year so im not too bothered if she gets fluffy, plus she has a bit of excess weight to keep her and blob warm.

she will be staying out 24/7 until the weather changes.
