what a GLORIOUS day!!!! shame it wont last.

Rode my youngster - first time without the instructor around, and him coming back into work means the last few rides have been interesting - but hes going a lot better in his new saddle. Only worked for 20 minutes today but he was lovely and only one small period of nappyness.

So who else has ridden and what did you do?
 
Practised dressage test on my boy (going on Thursday) and he was very good, though I suspect he has also learned it so shant ride it again before the day! Then rode my bfs mare, also practised a test (different one, same day) and she went sweetly enough, so fairly pleased with them both!
 
Me! The ponies were so settled on their new yard I decided to chance ride and lead and it was lovely out there. Currently working from home marking essays in the sun. Happy Days!
 
I managed to do 20 minutes on my old boy and my leg didn't hurt - yay! :D
I got my dad to warm him up before I worked a little bit on getting him forwards off my (extremely weak) leg. He felt amazing :)
 
Me! My son is off school sick, but my lovely YO offered to look after him while i went out for a little hack. Not ridden for two weeks and it was just super, even got an extended trot for the first time!
 
Me :D my school is on holidays for 2 weeks, so enjoying the sunshine :) went for a 3 mile hack with Tess and got a nice calm collected canter down the side of "the river" aka a huuuuugge dyke.

I've been attempting ride :rolleyes: if that counts. The youngster I backed last year has just started to come back into work. It is week 3 and today she decided to nap and having a bronc session with me... However once she settled we done 15 mins of of walk work had 2 little trots on the straight and she actually responded to my aids and I didn't even get shouted out by my trainer or told how she (the trainer) needed therapy after yesterdays session (it was a bad day in the saddle) .

Was so nice to ride in this lovely weather actually feels like spring is on its way:)
 
Went for a hack in the sun :) thought we'd come back a different way and go thru the stream. He jumped it thou and I ended up on the other bank with a branch in my face :)
 
We went, It was glorious :)
