WOO HOO!!!! Finally...

I've actually been rather naughty and not been watching this mare .. she is about 12 days overdue!!! OOPS and a maiden! But she's not been doing anything remotely interesting to warrant watching!

SO this morning.. boobs were still extremely boring... but I had a feeling we were gettin close... tonight.. we are dripping milk!!!!

It's exciting because its the last one to foal (this hemisphere... I start all over again in August in Australia).. But this mare is a friends pet in foal to her stallion. I'm slightly worried she'll be a complete bitch... (to feel for presentation, to let the foal nurse and she'll prob be foal proud)... hopefully i'm expecting the worst so it won't be as bad... either that or it'll be worse!!:eek:

Who else is joining me sitting up tonight??

Milk test yesterday told me it was about to happen - nothing yet..... Am now wondering if I cocked up the testing!

How on earth do you do this all the time? Respect!!

Me: I have 4 ladies-in-waiting - 3 of mine and one for a client. None are officially 'due' until the first week in July. But Rosie has never gone over 322 days (she's 321 today - and huge!) Ella (client's mare) looks even closer. Dawn and Fuzzy should wait until the end of the month (maybe!)
 
In fairness I've only had 11 to foal since March and rsc does half the night watching with me so a joint effort from helps so much!!!! (mostly for your sanity) + its always good to have an extra pair of hands there when you're foaling just in case!!!

lets hope she gets on with this soon!
 
woo hoo.. big bay filly arrived at 1am! All went well.. mare was a bit funny when the foal initially stood.. but she's let her nurse so...off to bed...

good luck everyone else that's still waiting!
 
Chestnut WUAS filly born at 1.20am!!!!!!
She ph dropped this evening (was 7.2 this morning and 6.2 at 6pm ) at 11pm she was dripping milk and a pretty textbook foaling especially for a maiden and got to watch the whole thing! I swear she was waiting for us to be there this evening! amazing!!!
