Talking of Romsley have you tried Jackie Roberts saddlery for rides. I put an advert there when I first came to the Midlands and got a few offers.

Have tried Jackies - there aren't many ads up there apart from sales adverts and did put an advert up but had no response.

Might go back up there this weekend and have a look

Ah good old walsall, I lived there most my life! Before going off to notts for uni. Not the nicest place in the world - love Lichfield tho.
