I was just wondering who is going? I was going to go for the full 4 days but cannot afford it unfortunatly then I thought ok well I will go for the XC but to be fair I dont know that I can be assed espically if like Badminton its just going to be same as last year just the opposite way around which was slightly disapointing.

I think id rather have a few friends over stick the plasma in the garden get out the Pimms and put in a BBQ. (actually having just said that out of the blue and it now sounds like a cracking idea lol)

Be cheaper too.

Mee! I don't go to many shows but I love a day out with my friends. The television doesn't quite capture the sheer size of the fences.

Been for the last ten years, but not going this year. Last year was a nightmare, people were so rude pushing between myself and my children, even when I was holding their hands. I had them sit down in front at fences so others can see and they were trodden on by people pushing forward with no apology, then to round it off my three year old was snapped at by a Germany Shepard while taking a rest in the pushchair, again no apology. If that is the sort of people going these days we'll stay home!!

I actually like the BBQ and Pimms suggestion, sounds like a good idea.

Can't go this year - inconsiderate non-horsey friends carefully avoiding the fencing season and landing on Burghley. Rather glad of Burghley TV as I wouldn't want to rely on BBC coverage.

I am! Flying over on the Thursday - tickets and hotel all sorted :D It's my first time* so really looking forward to it.

*Even though I grew up near Spalding which is only up the road!

We are but some inconsiderate ;) non-horsey friends have chosen to get married on XC day :p.

Luckily they are getting married in Stamford so it doesn't mean travelling but shame we're missing the XC.

Its my favourite day of the year, missed it last year as couldnt drive so going on sunday with daughter and introducing her boyfriend into all things horsey. Cant wait,

Yay, meeeeee :) Never done Burley before, going xc and sjing days with OH. Missed badminton this year, so looking forward to it :)

Does anyone know what the best time to go on the xc day is? To miss all the traffic lol

bexcy-bee x

I am very spoilt - live less than ten minutes from Burghley. Can't wait to take the new pup for a walk round!

Me too!! I went last week to walk the dogs and have a nosey at the xc jumps already up!! Last year I was walking around 2 weeks before I gave birth, was so hot! This year I will be attempting it with a buggy, think I may need some luck! I normally go on the fri and do my shopping, then if I can persuade my partner, we go on the sat, have a course walk then sit eating ice cream after ice cream counting the dubarrys!!!

Also another local to Burghley person, about 15 mins away. Shall be going all 4 days and hoping the weather is as nice as last year. I am privileged enough to have been selected to be a marshall again this year, although don't know which day yet. Can't wait! Most people have holiday from work to go abroad, I book holiday to go to Burghley! Lol!

Me! With the tradestand! My favourite show of the year, love it!

This year we are staying in a caravan though so might change my mind!

Just seen the XC list and it looks very good some very good riders and horses attending this year.

I am so pleased to see Lucinda Fredricks with Prada there having seen her school this horse with various demonstrations on their team Fredricks I will enjoy watching this horse go around.
