I have and I am so lucky with him, turns his hoof to anything and I think they're such a fab cross but there should be more of them!! Anyone else lucky enough to own/ride one? Oh and pics PLEASE if you do :) xx

Can you post a pic of yours? My daughter's cob is we suspect a heavy horse cross rather than a cob, and when we took him to an agricultural show he went beserk when he spotted the suffolk punches that were doing a display. He dragged us across the entire field so he could get to see them, and I jokingly said he's found his long lost relatives. Only maybe I wasn't joking and he had!

Beleive it or not my horse Zak has a bit of suffolk in him. I think his Mom was something like 1/4 or 1/3 Suffolk the rest of him is IDxTB. He has the colour anyway..

ETA - He has done everything! Sucessfully evented to PC Open level (BE Novice), Show jumped to 1.20 and Dressage to Elementary (however he would much rather be jumping!!). I have had him since he was rising 4 and is now 15 definately a challenging horse but fab on his day.

I love Suffolks too. I used to live next door to a farm which had three. A filly called Stansgate Nefertitti was born there and a significant no. of Suffolks today are related to her.

I would love to see some pics. I think many draught horses and heavyweight hunteres make good crosses.

My horse is supposedly lippi x cob but personally I think he has some suffolk in him. Especially having seen The Farriers suffolk. What do you think? He is the strawberry roan.

Oh SQUEE we got some!!

Vicky he is AWESOME, and yes def the Suffolk chestnut! TheFarrier LOVELY mare, so nice to see a full Suffolk ridden too, what is she like? Also does she want a baby in the future lol?! I worry what I will do when mine is no longer around, I have the perfect TB sire lined up and I want a Suffolk mummy!!!

Spike, personally I would say so, from that head/face. They have a lovely distinctive look about them you can really see in their faces, see mine :) ->

Llewelyn please post a pic, they are so distinctive I would love to see what your daughter's horse is like and try and guess!! :)

She is safe safe safe, also slow and steady but at nearly 20 she has every right to be :D

No more babies for her, we did consider it but at the end of the day decided it wouldnt be fair (although she has had a few foals in the past)
