Hi peeps!

Who's got an IW HB403? I used to have a 401 which sadly got stolen...and I'd saved for years to buy one. I then bought a 505 which I still have now but I'm going to sell it. I much preferred my single to be honest.

So, I'm going to treat myself to a new 403 in the spring. Who else is in the single fan club? I never tow more than one horse at a time, they are great to move around without any help and much more room inside for just one horse.

Plus, what do you all tow them with? Cheers.

I am a simple, cheap 401 :o

But my friends have a 403 each.

One is towed by a Freelander 2 (the new 'mini Range Rover' style)

and the other is a Skoda Octavia Scout (the 4x4 version).

They both tow 15hh medium weight horses.

Before their current cars, they both had an Xtrail each.

My 401 is towed by my Xtrail with a 16hh draft X (625kg).

I'd love a 403 - as they're a bit taller than my 401 and a touch lighter too.

Thanks Oberon, I love them too. When my 401 was stolen I was gutted. I like my double but not as much as my single. So, its up for sale this weekend and I'm going to treat myself to a new one in the spring. We have a Isuzu trooper now but may change it before next year.

I never tow more than one horse although I have 3....so it seems a sensible option. When I last had a single we towed it with a peugeot 2ltr turbo diesel and it was never a problem.

My young horse will love the extra space a single gives him. Yipee!!

I have a 401 and tow it with a Vauxhall Vectra. I'm new to towing but find it great to finally have transport. My boy seems to love the space too :-)

Isn't it just the most fab feeling when you finally get your own transport. I loved my first single trailer and waited a very long time for it. Gonna advertise my double this weekend and I'm sure it will go very quickly. Doesn't matter about not having one for winter, but next spring I'll get a 403....can't wait! Happy travelling.

Hope the OP does not mind this..... :D

For anybody wondering .....

The IFOR HB403 LIGHT HORSE TRAILER makes for a great B (no B+E) towing trailer when downplated and used with the right vehicle so that the weight rules are complied with

For any questions on this and other towing issues please ask on the HHO Towing clinic thread - the link to that is below in my signature
