Anyone got any tips? I'll probably put a couple of quid on Nina Carberry as a) she's a female and b) she's on a grey. Are there any other greys in the field?

I dont know. I personally think there never can be a hot tip for the national. Its all about luck in running. It is deffinatly a housewives race. I mean as in just pick the pretty colours or the one with a nice name. Wonder if AP can crack it this year?!

I've got £2 each on snowy morning and Charecter building at 16-1 on the nose and £4 on Mr Pointment at 100-1 each way. I'm not the only one who seems to like him either as he's shortened overnight to 66-1! :p

im having an each way bet on dream alliance and made in tiapan, i picked dream alliance as he has such a cracking story behind him, the other i stuck a pin in the paper the same as i do every year so far it has been a very good way of picking winners for me

comply or die, big fella thanks and character building £1 each way. And I got ID'd in the bookies :s

Why?
Because they are are either IRE or GB
But its a luck thing with the national I think.

Mr Pointment isnt running now....I liked Character Building at Cheltenham but he let me down so can't bring myself to back him again even though Nina's riding him and she got me out of a couple of bad days at Cheltenham!!!

I like Vic Venturi as an E/W chance....

Another non-NH-racing-fan spoil-sport here. Not comfortable with either the risks taken with horses during the actual races or with the number who don't even make it that far and aren't happily rehomed or even those who do that aren't retired responsibly.

I know a lovely set of NH horses retired in a very proud ex-trainer's home with great all year TO but many aren't that lucky :-(
