ours are out till 6.30pm at the moment, won't get 24 hour turnout till end of may/june time, but it all depends on grass levels

All in at night out during the day, waiting for the nights to warm up as the old ladies could not cope yet. Also the field with grass has holes in wall which need mending befor they go in there. Probably in for another two weeks.

Never turn out 24/7 - mine will come in every night all summer long - I like to ride in the morning and don't like a sluggish horse, however, this may change to out at night and in during the day as it appears she hates flies

i wish mine could just go out in the field, but hes back on box rest until the stiches come out next friday. some of the others are out 24/7 though.

how many of you are going to feed all through summer?
i will feed mine as theres not that much grass per horse as i would like.

He has been out 24/7 for about 3 weeks now and quite happy he is too! Give him lot's of hay in the field as no grass left and he mooches about.

Mine are out for 4 or 5 hours a day over Easter, hoping to move to out all night , in at day after Monday - still in winter field though as Im paraonoid abut laminitis. Friend was waiting for her vet to come out to a sheep on Thursday, he was running really late and looked absolutely shattered, said there had been a laminitis explosion.... Think summer is nearly as hard as winter if you have native or 'fatty' horses what with strip grazing, electric fencing, feeling for a strong pulse every day ... Oh well. A least its light enough to ride !!

Ours have been out 24/7 all winter. Don't see the point of bring them if they are happy outside. And its more work for us if they are in

Most of my yard have spent the last 2 nights out. Georgie was on box rest till yesterday, and he spent all day out. Hopefully get him out 24/7 in the next week or so.

i could have had 24/7 turnout all winter if id wanted but being a TB he lost condition very quickly

he stayed out 1 night last week and i think il leave him out tonight

i was going to leave him out last night but when looking at the weather forecast it said 1 degree, and being near winter hill we get a strong wind which makes it even colder

so hes not out yet. hopefully he will be by next week though! hes dying to go out its just to cold for him as hes still quite skinny

hes out at around 7-8am and in at around 7:30pm so has pleanty of turnout

He's unrugged now, and out from 8am til 6.30pm. He'll be out 24/7 from next weekend weather permitting. Yipee!!!

Ours don't go out 24/7, but in the summer we change from having them out during the day, to having them out at night instead. Not looking too hopeful as yet... our new fields aren't ready (not been fenced yet) and the other fields they're in are being grown for hay so they can't go out for long on what little of the field they have left to graze. Plus everyone else is off to RC camp week after next so they'll either be on summer routine when they get back, or not until the fields are finished which at this moment is looking like mid-May!

Most of our yard are out 24/7 but not ours as yet as don't think theres enough grass to sustain 24/7 turnout.I am hoping it rain soon too-just for a wee bit!
