Who's horses are still out at night.............

My gang are still out at night, have three that are clipped out and the old lad still out, they are well rugged and happy, seem to be enjoying these cold, fresh mornings. I'm trying to leave them out until after Bonfire Night, next doors have a big fireworks display........... What is everybody else doing at the moment.......
 
My retired pony lives out 24/7/365 but that is because she box walks, but Osc is now only out for a couple of hours a day in preparation for coming in 24/7.
 
The pony I ride at weekends is out at night. She isn't clipped and has a light turn out rug on. She has a heavier one for when it gets colder. Her friend is fully clipped and out all night, but wears a heavier rug. We're hoping to leave them out as long as possible.
 
Ours is still out and clipped she prefers it to be honest lol shes alot happier and friendlier in the day when shes been out all night! Think it will only be a few more weeks though and seh will start to come in.
 
Mine is still out and clipped, its been dry up here in scotland just cold but i think they can cope with that, its when its cold and wet they feel it. he comes in every day for couple of hours to eat hay and feed. very happy hope weather holds!!
 
Well my boy is blanket clipped and still out, and is rugged well, he prefers to be out than stuck in, but daddy does check him late at night to make sure he is warm !

he will stay out until the paddocks cant take it, we have lovely grass still !

mine is out from 7am to 5pm weekdays at the minute but from next week will be coming in about 4pm. i didnt think he would like this routine but is very very happy with it as am i. i can relax in bed now knowing he is safe and sound and warm and dry - i know i know not to everyones tastes but i tried the living out 247 for a few months.
 
My girl is out 24/7 and won't be coming in at all unless she is ill. Shes not ridden so not clipped and has a m/w rug on at the moment and is quite happy!!
 
my lad is still out, this weather has been great as he usualy in by now, but as you say it has been cold but not wet.
When it breaks I will take him in, but till then I will take advantage of the dry conditions.

i suppose i ought to point out that they are in a 15 acre field which has high hedges and a deep valley so plenty of shelter.
 
Georgie is still out and is fully clipped. He wont be coming in till the weather changes for the worse. Its been beautiful up here, cold yes, but dry and no wind. They are all starting to get hungry now though so he comes in for a couple of hours for some haylage in the evenings.
 
Axey is still out over night, but he's not clipped and has a middle weight rug on.
Last year he lived out overnight until 1st november.
He is being clipped today and I'll probably put a neck cover on him. Will save his heavyweight rug until it gets really cold.
 
Mine's still out.

Hoping that he'll come in next week - but at the moment not looking promising as nothing else is in........
 
i have one in, and last night kept the other 2 in, as the night before that the gelding definately did not want to go back out after his feed
 
Zakkie is a tb and he is still out-although he hasnt been clipped and has his 400gm on!!Although once he is clipped he will continue to stay out until it gets really wet (pray it doesnt!!!!)
 
Alee is still out 24 / 7. She does have a light weight rug on though as she seems to not grow a winter coat!!
She will be out like this until I bring her back into work sometime in the near future!!!

. I'm planning on leaving him out until December, depending on the weather. He's much happier out, until it starts to snow!
 
Ours are kept out 24/7 all year round. One of them will be clipped soon, just under his neck and tummy as he gets too furry! But they all seem to survive quite happy with just a rug on!
 
my TB is out 24 7 and hopefuly wintering out this year. he is naked during the day and has a lightweight rug on at night
 
All ours are still out one is clipped and I have no intention of giving up my lie ins until it gets far too wet. I am delighted by this weather and long may it last!!
 
Twigs, Parky and Swallow out 24/7, no rugs, very hairy already, have a feed, I hope they can stay out until at least mid January; three youngsters in at night only, unrugged but all put up very woolly coats already, even Joey who last year had a summer coat all year - makes you think it's going to be a coldish winter by those signs! Bea is in at night, has a M/W Rhino on because she does feel the cold, soon looks miserable and drops weight if she is so I'm trying to keep her toasty warm but she is also very woolly!
 
mine both are and will remain so all year. One is chaser clipped and rugged and other is unclipped, unrugged youngster. Although i have a field shelter......
 
At my yard, three of the seven horses are out at night on "summer routine" still, one of which is clipped and rugged up and one of which is well-rugged to avoid clipping him. They will stay that way until the rest change, or until the weather gets too bad at night
Two of them (including my share horse) are out during the day on "winter routine". Cracks isn't clipped yet as I don't have access to clippers until YO gets back at the weekend, but she will shortly be blanket clipped and well-rugged (she's 19yo and feels the cold badly). The other two are out 24/7 while YO is on holiday. They're unclipped and not worked, and are getting a bit fluffy

but they are perfectly happy in their middleweight hooded rugs at night and one in his middleweight without a hood in the day, the other with a 40g Fal.
My horse (not at the yard) is out in a field 24/7, not ridden, looking like the world's fattest and most oddly-shaped polar bear (and the dirtiest)! I gave her a hug this morning and almost needed a snorkel to be able to breathe with all that fuzz! It's amazing how they cope though, last winter she got fuzzy, was clipped, then was a chilly billy all winter. Now she's unclipped she's warm as toast!
 
All of mine are still out.
Well rugged, not clipped yet tho. Have a field shelter if necessary. They are all fed once a day.
All are fat and happy

Will come in in November to start proper work and be clipped out.
