My native is unrugged, lives out 24/7, is like a Thelwell pony he is still so round and has a coat like a bear. One other is unrugged, the rest have rainsheets or 40g rugs on.
How did horses survive on a cold night before we domesticated them?

Keep trying to get a rug on my TBx youngster but he thinks it's going to eat him. It's odd because he'll quite happily let me throw a numnah or my jumper over his back but as soon as I try with his folded up rug, he dances around like a loony. .
