Who's hoping(weather permitting obv) to do the PN at brightling and or Firle place?? Do u think brightling will be a nice PN?and is firle a nice pn?? i did an intro there last yr and didnt look at the pN course! I hate not knowing wat a course is like.

hiya!

im doing the intro which im now glad about as she hasnt ran since nurstead, so that will be nearly 3 months ago!!

Are you going to do the ODE at Lodge Farm? Im taking all 3!! Very very silly, as old friend is coming down on saturday night and we are all going out for a big one in maidstone...cant imagine i'll make it home either, so its going to be a long day...

I may look at doing Firle too...was going to see how the ground is over summer, but by the looks of things it will stay wet!! May have to go back to indoor BSJA!!

Dressage was ok at weekend (medioke marks), and eventers challenge went well too.

Put entries in for stilebridge (dressage again - determined to get higher marks!!) this saturday - you going anywhere this weekend too?

I'm doing the novice at Brightling Park, and the PN is described as suitable for first timers, although I've never seen it, I expect it to be up to height as Brightling runs a ** class. I've spectated at Firle and thought all the courses were lovely.

Hi i have ridden PN at Firle and its lovely. Cant this year as my mare has injured her Fetlock. Seen course at Brightling as live near by (and horses near firle) both courses are fab, Firle i would say the more inviting but nothing too much. im very depressed as no BE for me this year now. My 4 year old who was being brought on slowly has now come on quicker without choice!!

If you have probs you can school round firle the next couple of days after
!!

Im hoping to do the PN at Firle, Hattie did it last year with someone else and it was her first ever BE event aged 5 and it didnt phase her at all, the SJ and XC is meaty and up to height but not really spooky or overly technical courses, just needs bold accurate riding

Not doing Brightling as i was told it was not a good first time PN course, quite undulating and difficult to ride i was told.

Jolly good, thanks for replies everyone!looks as tho theres a few of us from here going then. Good luck at the w.end Hattikins & others and hope 2 see u at Brightling/firle then.

Brightling will be my fella's first event - had him 6 weeks or so now, hes 6, very honest but quite green! - so doing the intro there. Also doing the intro at Iping the week after. All being well we'll hopefully move up to PN maybe at Brockenshurst, but should be at firle
