It took me a while to learn to get them looking even 😅 🤣 I don’t know how I did it years ago as you didn’t have the different clippers setup with different blade! You did the whole lot with the one set 🤣🤣
 
not clipped mine this year yet, that’s a job for next weekend! these were mine last year - lily’s was actually a big dodgy, but this photo makes it looks alright🤣 i was very proud of diva’s blended legs though!!

they’re both getting full clips this year, not sure if i’ll have the energy for blending legs or not😂 (pics were purchased)

I’m thinking about having to make my first ever attempt at clipping “properly” soon, because cob’s getting sweaty just by existing! I’ll leave it until after the storm this weekend when she’ll need her natural protection in its full glory.

I think I’ll make a day of it and shave her feather-stubble as well. I fear it may be a very odd-looking Irish clip, I may post photos to cheer people up 🫣
 
Booked in for tomorrow. Think will do full as will grow back quickly though typical it’s forecast colder tomorrow night but going warm next week.
 
Will be doing 3rd clip next week, clipped out but legs in. I'm not that skilled so its easier to keep his coat under control and it stops him sweating. And I do like a clean clipped horse!
 
I was going to try and wait for the cold snap but Dex's sweatiness the last two schooling sessions has put the kebosh on that so I have asked YM to do him early next week as I'll bathe him this weekend.
It will grow out in probably 10 days and then two more should do him for the winter
 
I’ve taken the lot of the mare except for legs and half a face. I’ll get a photo tomorrow. She looks super smart and is an absolute angel to clip. It’s so warm she was just getting too hot and at least her winter coat won’t be so thick now. I may do a blanket clip for her second clip.

This is from about 3 weeks ago, but definitely going to have to take more off as she's getting super sweaty still (coat like a wooly mammoth 🦣😅)
Going for a hunter next week!
Mane also gets hogged. I know it's not traditional for connies but she was getting her mane chewed in the field and it looks better short!
