I couldn't find a betting website that gave me the odds on various people but I am curious!

Who do you think will win Burghley 2008? But who would you like to win?!

I'd like Little Tiger to win because I've known her from a foalie! But my money would be on Shabraak or Tamarillo.

Lol - like my first point to point race where my father took me to the ring and said 'if there's mud, you bet on the one with the biggest bum and the biggest feet'. Sooo, who's got the biggest bum at Burghley!!!

Youve to remeber that alot of the mega pros and horses dont really "do" mud and most horses wont have been allowed to hunt and learn how to go in adverse conditions, (in order to save them for big events like this!)
Im with the Big bum and big feet bit... Id love to see Daisy Dick win a ****. Lucy too deserves her time to come! I reckon Rosie Thomas will ride a hard bargain and set the bar! She always makes up places by riding brill XC

Shaabrak is a very good chance but his soundness may be put to the test in these conditions. Both Mary and WFP could get two very good results each and both are capable of winning it. ODT would have had a chance with Carousel Quest, but I think Flint could do very well.

Lucy's said in the past Ross is more of a, would be more worried about soundness if it was hard. Just hope Lucy gets around in 1 piece on her other ride, who has a lot of 65pens in their record!

I wouldn't mind if Little Tiger won, but im not a fan of the rider after the way I saw her beat a horse up in the dressage warm up at Prestwold in May,

not a nice sight.

Would love Lucy to win, or Zara it'd be great for both of them considering the let down of not riding at the Olympics.

I'm really hoping it is Lucy and I think they stand an excellent chance when in the conditions xc is going to be the major factor. Might be a disadvantage going near the end though.

Rosie and her Mum were parked next to him and his Dad at Gatcombe Festival last year - seems they were really nice people. He did a DC last Burghley but it was a different horse and very different conditions. Fingers crossed though.

tam will skip through the mud. tho whoever ever said the early ones will have an advantage is quite right unless it keeps raining because burghley gets very heavy as it dries out, beter if its pissing down and sloppy.
theres a fair few that wont get round though and sveral others that will be grateful its only 11 minutes.
