Whose fault - ours, farriers or YO?

[ QUOTE ]

Sounds like he is trying to get the last bit of cash out of you and I would not pay up at all... Also it seems unlikely a farriers nail would cause a puncture on a big tough expensive tyre???

And a puncture made by a shoe nail would be very small and easily repaired - I managed to get a 3 inch GASH in a tractor tyre - was a bit big to be repaired 'on the spot' so tyre has gone to the tyre doctor!

If ANYONE is at fault it's the farrier - tell YO to go boil his head - because you didn't come down inthe last shower!

Your farriers sound lovely! I don't think mine would ever get the horses from the field - and I think my farrier is pretty ace!

If someone has ridiculously expensive tyres on a car in the first place, then they should be able to afford another one imho. And ditto others above, punctures are fixable, and I'd also want to seen evidence

Some high profile tyres cant be repaired. So if it was a high performance car it may need a new tyre. I dont know why exactly but I know if we get a puncture on one of our cars it means a new tyre. It is to do with liability I think. But I have never heard of one costing the price of a saddle. I think ours are about £120. Maybe a bit more. No more than £200 though.

Maybe Ferrari tyres cost that much! We dont have one of those so wouldnt know!

Whatever, I dont think you are liable. When you drive onto private property you do so at your own risk as far as I am aware. If my car gets bashed in the car park at work it is tough luck as it is private property. I may be wrong but i think it is down to the driver of the car and the owner of the property to sort it out.
