One of our members' mare had laminitis after foaling - and rigged up a system whereby the mare was kept confined, but the foal able to have access to the big outside world. I just can't remember who it was.

Chev's in Breeding needs some help: Unwell Mare After Foaling

I managed to find my other post, it's in Breeding. I'll ask around to see if anyone knows anything, though I don't know any breeders directly.

I think Amandaco's mare had laminitis after foaling, not sure if that is the member you are thinking of though.

I just can't remember TGM.

Whoever it was rigged up the stable and small ourside area to restrict the mare - but still enabling the foal access to an area of grazing.

I'm not the forum member you are after but at my yard we had a mare go down with Laminitis after foaling, It was apparently induced my stress. We have large barn type areas and we kept her and the foal in there, but then moved them to the stallions small turnout paddock once a day for a few hours. (Stallion was obviously in his stable!). Being in the barn helped said foal because he got to see cars, tractors, people etc. It really desensatised him, but he also had alot of room to move around in.
