We bought a welsh pony last year and my husband picked him up for me.
I gave him a list of thinks to check (like passport and change of ownership forms etc etc) which he is normally pretty good at following lol
However, when he picked our pony up the girl we bought him off was blubbering at parting with him (can't blame her, he's a fantastic little man). My husband doesn't do blubbering women so grabbed the passport and ran
(well almost lol)
Due to this before parting with the money he failed to check the passport was in order and change of ownership details obtained. We were then left with a passport which hasn't been changed since registration at birth by breeder (not her).
We then moved house shortly after and seem to have lost this passport along with a few other things. I'm all for decluttering but this is one thing I'd rather keep hold of
On phoning WHPS they asked that i get letters/confirmation from past owners so that the passport can be replaced and ownership updated......now this is where I have a massive problem!
I have managed to obtain this from the blubbering girl
but there was a woman between breeder and this girl which has been impossible to trace and the breeder sold him to her via pony sales. I have also tried to contact the breeder (as WHPS gave me his details) but have not received any response from him.
I am at a loss, how do I replace his passport if I am unable to get these???
You help/advice is much welcomed
