I ask becasue im clearly abnormal, I wear the same clothes for winter and summer, I do not suffer from the cold, infact I over heat badly esp when walking, so I wear, wolly trackie bottoms, a thin not fully water proof small coat, rubber mucker boots in the fields and my trainers when walking the nature reserve, and a T.shirt:eek: and my coat is never zipped up either.
Oh is worried and took me to buy a coat "the trauma" hence I never got one, they where all to heavy and thick, I would die from heat exhaustion.

He on the other hand wears about £300 worth a top brand out door clothing, berghaus coat, hunters or expensive walking trianer things, waterproof trousers, thermals, a hat, thick socks (I dont wear socks:o) bearing in mind he walks 4 hours a day and sometimes more if he takes the lurchers out on an eveening, and has little to no body fat and a descent amount of muscle, I have a generous amount of fat:D and I dont walk 4 hours a day, I usually do about 1 to 1 anda half hours, but have joined him on the 4 hour walks (split in 2 walks) last week and I was sweating to death.
He is very fit comapred to me, so maybe this makes a huge difference.

I never get colds either.

What do you wear?

Hoodie, baggy falling apart jeans or combats, and docs. Pretty much the same all year round although if it's hot the hoodie goes, if it's really cold I'll put an old denim jacket or my dad's old leather one over the top. I couldn't be doing with a big thick coat either, both 'cause it would mean having to go shopping and also I march around at too quick a pace for it to be comfortable. It would get too hot inside a coat like that. I wouldn't say no to a decent pair of walking boots to replace the docs though :)

I did have some bloke stop to make a fuss of the pup last week, and tell me he wasn't sure about me at first because I was wearing a hoodie and walking an 'alsation'. How incredibly rude, it's OBVIOUSLY a mosher's hoodie (fresh from a Fear Factory gig no less!), not some chavvy hood-rat-gangsta thing. And my dog is a German Shepherd. Pffft :p

Yeah but you are weird, we all know that :p:D:D

Summer - shorts/T-shirt/trainers if warm, jeans/trainers/polo shirt if not

Winter - jeans, wellies, polo shirt, maybe a hoodie, Ariat jacket over the top

I dont wear loads of layers or I would get too hot - same as when I am riding - and will only wear my polo shirt/hoodie/coat combo when there is snow on the ground :D

The dogs of course have their fluffy waterproof coats on all year round because they are delicate little flowers, and this year I am going to buy them some thermal boots because they dont like the snow and ice

I also get really hot walking and riding - and also possess a decent layer of 'natural insulation'.

Summer tend to walk in knackered Mountain Horse short walking type boots, shorts or jeans and a T-shirt or vest top.

Winter tends to be wellies, jeans, T-shirt and fleece. Have a body warmer for chillier days and a Musto coat for winter - I invariably get too hot but hate being cold when I first go out at 7am when I'm still half asleep and not quite with it!

In summer i wear t-shirt, fleece f cool, shorts or jeans or combats and trainers.
In wnter i wear t-shirt, jumper, fairly lightweght coat and jeans and walking boots. often have to strip off layer after about 20 mins though.

Because I am both lazy and impatient, I wear what I'm going to work in! Sometimes my 'good' trousers are lovingly decorated with the occasional muddy pawprint.

Otherwise wellies when wet, trainers if dry enough, a thin coat if its pizzling down, as I also over heat when walking- I have been told I walk "ridiculously fast". Hasnt shifted any amount of personal insulation thought!

I also overheat - either old pair of jeans or one of two pairs of old cords, thin, oversized t-shirt, hiking boots for cold, trainers for hot, that's the basics, if it's wet or cold I throw a fleece and waterproofs over the top.
Also my groovy deerstalker hat.

I never understand these people who look immaculate out walking their dogs - how do they do it???
I met a woman in the pub who I'd bumped into and I apologised for not chatting as B was playing up and I just wanted to keep him moving past her dogs, and she said 'oh, was that you, I thought there was a gorilla loose in the woods' :o

I hate feeling cold! Even in summer I wear socks. I can't remember the last time my legs saw daylight either:o Always jeans, t-shirt for summer, woollens for winter & any boots that have got the less mud, poo etc on them

I get cold, so in summer it's shorts only if it's really hot, a t-shirt and crocs or walking boots. In winter it's jeans or walking trousers, t-shirts, sweater or fleece, coat maybe with a bodywarmer underneath, maybe thermals, gloves, hat, scarf, boots or wellies depending on far we are going:) And waterproofs, I love my waterproof trousers and gaiters, I don't care if they look stupid, can't stand that thing where the bottoms of your trousers get wet!

I never look immaculate at any time, so there is no hope for me out dog walking:D

Me: Trackie bottoms, t shirt and muckers or wellies depending on how long the grass is, in winter I put a lightweight waterproof over the lot and if its really cold but dry, a fleece instead, never wear gloves, cant do a thing with them on.

OH wears 2 pairs socks at all times, trackie bottoms, tshirt and gillet in summer and in winter a heavy duty, top of the range waterproof thing with a fleece lining and a woolly hat and fleece gloves. In last years snow he dragged his old ski trousers out of the loft and refused to go out without them. I dont really feel the cold and hate being too hot but OH keeps piling on the layers:)

All year round: jeans, polo shirt, Dubarrys (warm in winter, waterproof and don't get hot in summer). If cooler I'll add a fleece/sweat top; if raining then lightweight Musto jacket. I do have one very warm jacket but it is seldom used - I find walking and riding very hot work and am almost never cold. I also hate making decisions about what to wear so having a "uniform" simplifies my life :)

I get far too hot when walking / riding / doing anything really!!

I have my very own layer of blubber to keep me warm so I rarely wear a coat!! If its raining I will wear a small t shirt or vest top and a coat.

I also have a lovely furry hat with ear flaps that I wear constantly in december / jan :D

I have been know to dog walk in heels and a skirt before!! But it was all roadwork in a very small loop for the old ridgey.

Pretty much the same I just add a coat in winter!

Summer- Shirt/t shirt and jeans/cords, Dubarry boots.
Winter- Shirt/t shirt jeans/cords, jumper if its very cold, scarf gloves and coat either tweed or waterproof depending on the weather! Dubarrys again, wear them year round as I'm always tramping through wet grass/rivers/muck!

I have a good layer of fat!

Generally the same clothes year round (what Ive worn on the yard) - jeans or jods, Dubarrys, polo shirt. Sunglasses in summer and then I add jackets of differing weights. If its cold and windy I HAVE to wear my trapper hat with deputy dawg furry ears - I cannot bear my head being in the wind or rain and can feel really spacey in windy weather. Other than that manky old riding gloves and as many pairs of socks as I can ram down my boots to ward off chilblains!

Got nice new field jacket this year so that will soon be covered in muddy spangle and probably slightly aromatic!

I have a blue one. I love my hat! I would wear it everywhere if I could get away with it.

Postman asked me yesterday (I was getting ready to go out for a yomp) if I was expecting snow, I said 'No, my hair is just crap!'

I've taken to wearing a strappy top, baggy t-shirt, thick jumper, waterproof coat, big woolly hat and ... board shorts with wellies :D

I'm always quite hot, my blubber is substantial enough to keep me warm XD

I'm deeply sad and do the horse twice a day so am constantly in jods and millions of layers if cold, despite my huge amount of natural insulation! At the minimum, it's jods and a polo shirt for really nice days. The OH claims I can't really be a Geordie if I feel the cold so much. He does t-shirts all year round and there has to be snow for him to add layers, really.

I suffer from 'singing ears' too if its really windy and it can be really painful! But if I wear a 'spangle flaps' hat, I get way too hot. Found a fleecy baseball cap last year though with a small flap you can either tuck away under the hat or fold down over your ears and that seems perfect.

I too posess (sp?) a woosy OH - he's from South Africa so I do make some allowances but even so... He's like a limpet in the winter and you have to prize him out of the house - he's much better since we've had the dog though as he HAS to go out. Annoyingly he won't invest in any big jumpers and wonders around the house in jeans or shorts and a t-shirt, complains he's cold and whacks the heating up to tropical :-0

I would rather be cold too. Cannot stand overheating on a walk and usually end up taking jacket off and carrying it :(

Always wear leggings with either trainers if dry so I can run if I can be arsed :p or wellies and 2 pairs of thick socks.

Top is either t-shirt or vest if hot.

Same, with body warmer over the top or fleece if really cold. Always ponytail and baseball cap on to get my hair off my neck.

I'm another one who gets too hot, I really hate the days where it's raining enough that you need to wear a waterproof jacket but it's still warm so you get all claggy in it.

I wear jeans or, if it's damp, Berghaus walking trousers as they're fairly water repellent. Only get the waterproof overtrousers out when it's really pelting it down (see above, OH delightfully refers to the result as 'swamp ass' :o). Shorts in the summer, definitely, lots of 3/4 length hiking trousers and board shorts.

Then a polo shirt on top, an endless supply of hairy fleeces if it's actually cold and a horrible old faded Joules baseball cap that probably ought to be chucked by now.

Footwear is the biggie, I'm a huge boot snob. I really need to replace my Hunters as they are bloody rubbish these days and it's just too wet now to wear my scrummy walking boots as my trousers get trashed, even with gaiters on. Not sure I'm cut out for the Dubarry look (or cost!). :o
