Chubari spots, a result (I believe) of mutation, not heritage. I *think* it's dominant though, so in theory you could get spotty TBs registered as there wouldn't be any crossbreeding. However, as the main coat color they appear with is gray (but less frequently chesnut or light bays) the spots could disappear at any moment.

The breeder uses the forum to so if you're lucky you'll be able to get it straight from the horses mouth so to speak![]()
Can anyone shed any light on this, SHAPS ( spotted horse & pony soc now no longer in existance) had an Appy in training I think with John Jo O Neil called Capital Leo reg on Whetherbys NTR. They ran out of money before he raced but he was/is a lepord spot
Thank you XXX
You are very welcome. I always think your boy is lovely
I'd love a coloured one to go with the grey I already have. You can't beat a TB.
Do I get one sent in the post for mentioning you?![]()

Pure TB thanks to Nikkiportia for seeing it!
. . . . and if you look at the site, the "thoroughbred" coloured stallion is NOT full TB, only 3/4TB, so they are just as guilty as the people in America!!!!!
I get sick to death of people announcing that their horses are a particular breed when they, in reality, cross-breeds. It happens a lot with Arabs as well. It is NOT an arab/TB/whatever unless it is 100% pure-bred.
How big is your letter box? and a big thank you I am glad you like our boy XXX the racer or the 2 stallions?

Angrove has never suggested anything other than this. . . . and if you look at the site, the "thoroughbred" coloured stallion is NOT full TB, only 3/4TB, so they are just as guilty as the people in America!!!!!
Perhaps, however that doesn't mean that there aren't fully pedigreed TBs of strange and unique colouring. Genetics have moved on a long way since the old saying " there is no such thing as a white horse" which is now in fact not the case. Spots and markings, splash and frame, have always been in some TB genetic bloodlines. We're just a little more aware of it now and some of the weird coloured TBs who have shown up in the past few decades are full pedigreed TBs, in the same way as those from 100 years ago were also full bloodsI get sick to death of people announcing that their horses are a particular breed when they, in reality, cross-breeds.
