My boy has impeccable manners coz I make sure he does! Put simply, he's a big lad and there's no way we could ever enter a physical contest if he did get bargey or difficult.
A lot of people look at him and the way he picks up his feet to be done for instance, and assume he's a plod, which he ain't! Tho' having a nice well mannered horse on the ground does help with ridden work coz they know the boundaries and know that if they take the p!ss you won't have it.
