I'm having a very tough time at the minute, got alot of family problems and then my OH's mum died last night :-(

I had a lesson booked this afternoon, I very nearly cancelled as felt so down this morning about everything. Anyway I decided to have it, I'm so glad I did as it's made me feel so much better. I adore the horse I share, he never fails to brighten up my world so for that mr b, thank you xxx

I'm sorry to hear about your family problems and you OH's mum passing away :(

I don't know why they are good healers, but whatever it is, should be bottled and sold. I'm going through serious depession currently and even just sitting in the field with them makes me feel so much better.

I had really bad PND and riding always provided a brief respite from the black hole. I suppose it was a combination of the exercise and concentrating was essential!

I'm sure your situation will improve in time, until then, keep on riding.:)

i don't know why they are. my mare saved me from what could have been a total breakdown once, and all i had to do was watch her come off the trailer back home after she'd been on loan.

maybe its how quiet, forgiving and gentle they are? a good horse is a gem. grooming and long quiet hacks are soo therapuetic! it's why i do and always will get on better with horses and want a career with them. they give humans so much and it's a shame as we can never give them as much back.

safe to say i've had my horse 6 years and i would be totally and utterly lost without her :o
