why are horsey people so critical of other riders??

I have to agree, I have left two yards because of it there is a bit of it on my current yard, but on the whole its good there, so I just turn a deaf ear!:)
 
I often wonder this, I don't understand how being so negative about other people can make yourself feel any better.

I don't mind a bit of constructive criticism, but being nasty and negative is one of my pet hates.
 
I find the worse people on our yard are the people who don't seem to have anything else. They spend pretty much all their time at the yard, but never really do much with their own horses, then seem to think it is Christmas when something goes wrong for someone :(
