So expensive?!

Am looking at some really nice ones but I dont want to spend over £30 on something thats only going to get covered in horse slobber!

Just wondered if anyone else thought the same or if I'm just being tight! :o

You're not being tight, or if you are, then i am too. I won't pay it. Same as general riding jods - I refuse to pay top whack for something thats going to get covered in **** and straw. I buy from robbinsons but only as i have the childrens sizes so theyre usually no more than £20. I have some from decathlon too i paid a tenner for.

Tops etc are primark/market jobs or my brothers cast offs cause hes bigger than me now, i nick his outgrow t shirts!

Joules is the reason they are so expensive!!

I get mine of ebay if it is a branded top - otherwise it's handme downs from OH and where I have had them as a uniform :D

Ryedale ones (Yorkshire Clothing Co) are not bad price, and same, if not better, quality than Joules. You might as well walk around in a top that says "ripped off" or "Mug" if you wear Joules ones!

eBay!!! :D

I never wear my expensive polos at the yard, I wear cheap tshirts instead! I do love my Joules stuff but I get a lot of it as presents as I can't afford it myself (but I do make sure its sale stuff thats bought, not the 'new collections') but it is good stuff and lasts a long time - however, £50 for a tshirt...:eek::eek::eek:

i'd have to disagree about rydales quality! they are always on offer though something like 2 for £25 act which i will by but they don't last long - they shrink in the wash no matter how closely you follow in striations and for me they are funny sizes - i don't have one that i think - WOW this fits lovely - like i do with my one and only joules one ;) - i didn't even buy this one it was a present! i do have a few rydale ones though!!

I buy uniqlo ones. They don't have Joules plastered all over them which to me is a good thing but might put people off I guess. I love them because they're longer than rubbish horse ones so they actually cover your kidneys when you do things like bend over to muck out or jump a fence. They do stripy ones too :)

Still in my 2008 ones without any shrinkage - and I've expanded too!:o

The shirt I'm wearing at this very moment would have cost me JUST under £40, but the sale that is on at Joules at the moment made it the cheapest ever Joules product I've ever brought!!! :p :D
No way is it getting near a horse (unless by pure accident!) as I've got some old and baggy Joules t-shirts when I lost tonnes of weight to go horse riding in LOL

Most of mine are xmas and birthday pressies, mum loves a bargin so will wait untill all the sales and save them for pressies :D. Chukka do very good sales and have some really nice quality stuff. But her best bargin has to be the joules polo that was £1.99 in a charity shop and the big think joules gilet that was a massive £5(!) in some random shop we went past both brand new with tags!

I have a couple of joules polos from the sales, one was £75 down to £25, who pays £75 for a polo shirt?! £25 is expensive enough!

But like EquiGal92, mine don't go near the horses either! Cheapy ones for that!!

Dammnit, you beat me to it! They were doing 3 for a tenner when I was there. I also get my hi viz there from the running section :)

eBay is your friend ;)

Failing that buy a nice Nike one for £15 in every colour you like.

Horsey ones are over rated and priced.

I have a selection from various companies, but I must say the Joules ones have lasted years and still look as good as new (and fit my shape really well) but I have NEVER paid full price for them - that is just bonkers!! Only in the sales or off ebay etc

Also have hi-viz stuff from the running section at Sports Direct.

I'm a real cheapskate compared to you lot! I go to ASDA and buy a load of boys blue school polo shirts (the girls have frilly collars!), age 14 tends to give me loads of room (they do shrink) and i'm a size 10-12 ladies normally. they are normally £4 for a pack of 3.
