Why are no older horses for sale?

OK, so I've only been horse hunting for a week but everything seems to be 5 or 6 years old. I really want something older, minimum of 10 that's been and done it. Where are they?

Anyone fancy horse shopping for me?

Criteria:
At least 16hh
Min 10 yo
Good to hack alone and in traffic
Just want to do some hacking and a bit of riding club stuff
South east area
Budget £3.5k

All I have found are older horses! I am looking for something similar to you, just younger and with potential to ODE. I'm not having much luck. There are loads of slightly older horses on horsemart.

Well, I have my 13yr old 16h mare for sale, dropped the price twice, and had no interest at all! Think I may be too far away from you as I am in East Midlands, but if you would like to know more about her feel free to ask and I will pm you
 
Thanks for those.

Liked the tb/wb chessy mare on Horsemart but she doesn't like hacking alone. Also liked the CB but he's sold.

Have left a message for Reggie, he looks nice.

The grey on horsequest looks nice too but a bit far away. Will keep him in mind tho.

Any more??

Oh and don't want a full TB as I'm no lightweight and prefer something with a bit more bone.
