Why are people so bitchy? It's such hard work!!

[ QUOTE ]

Someone at my yard did this to me after calling my horse a pikey horse and then fed all but my horses.

And is your horse a fat, 'pikey' horse? I'm just curious...

Be as nice as you can, extra thankyous etc, Nasty people hate that you are not annoyed with there nasty ways.
Either that or knock her out when nobody is looking heheheheh
I do hope things get better.

Thanks everyone! Luckily my horse is only going to be there for a few more weeks - he's there on a temporary basis. OH says I should stop worrying about it and just ignore her. I have tried saying hi to her etc but she just blanks me so I've not been bothering - I think I'll just carry on and be polite if she manages to speak to me!

Shils - I already only give him a really small feed in the morning because he wouldn't usually have breakfast - he's such a good doer. I only started doing it because I found out she was making a massive feed up for him and giving it to him before I rode in the mornings

Now that is so wrong!!!!!!! It's not up to anyone else to make up a feed, she could cause all sorts of damage ie, Azortoria, colic etc.

Lord, there seems to be so many stories on this forum about behaviour on livery yards - do people really get this petty?!

I can see how annoyed you'd be especially as you've not doing anything directly to upset her.

Glad I'm not on a yard, think I'd upset people daily! hehe

i have the exact same problem at my yard, well all because my OH is 40 and im 24, not that its none of this womens business!!! but lately iv found my horse wondering the front of the yard where he could have just walked out the gate and coursed an accident when it is most unlikely that he'd get him self out the stable and then 2 days ago i found his haynet in his bed where he could have tangled himself up (when i didnt use the net that night and it was his traverling net) and 4 rusty nails on his stable floor, i mean if it is her doing this then sort it out with me not savatage my horse!!!

i hope it all works out for you in the end i know what its like with people ignoring you and being petty its not very nice and makes you feel uncomfetable as i does with me, just hold your head up high and ignore the bitch x

I was going to say, imagine a 37 year old acting like this. unfiortunately, we have all seen it all before. Some people just never grow up and delight in making poeple feel miserable and causing an atmosphere. They are best ignored.
As long as your horse doesn't mind not getting his brekkie at the same time as others, then, I would just go about my business and let her get on with it, especially if you are leaving soon anyway. I wouldn't give her the satisfaction of asking her what is wrong. These people are usually pretty unhappy in themselves.
