why are people so cruel???

so a shetland got bought onto our yard and the poor mare is riddled with lami......she's been there a week and still not walking great poor mite!! i went up yesterday to find they had put a stallion in to cover her!!!! the poor mare can barely walk and theres a stallion on her back....people baffle me!!

Probably think they can squeeze a foal out of her before she drps dead. People not just cruel but greedy also.

Thats a sad thing to read poor wee mite, reminds me of when I was at a yard that the owner bought a very sick looking pony turned out strangles.
Came up one morning to see owners daughter holding sick mare by lead rope and letting a colt mount her? I could not help myself and told her that this was not on as sick pony could hardly stand and why was she letting colt near her when she has strangles? why was she doing this at all?
Result...colt gets strangles, wee mare found to be in foal by delivering one not long after that died 4 days later ( foal). sad.
