Why are people so STUPID???????/

Not on the yard, but someone did that in the street today! They had to have someone outside (it was a posh hotel) to tell people to be careful! I wouldn't like that job.

In all fairness, I accidently did this the other week, I tip the water down the corrall that the ponies come onto at night, and I did it without thinking. The second after I did it, I swore and smacked myself on the forehead...DOH. I did make sure I put starw down so it wasn't slippy though.

Stupid me.

Someone did this a few weeks back nowhere near horses but it was the two good frosty nights we had..some twit had washed their car & I was walking my dog along a new black pavement which sloped down where people have drop curbs..all of a sudden no feet..they'd gone...it was like a three meter skid pan & my poor dog (who was on a cani cross lead round my waste (I don't always have great strength in my arms so safer than sorry etc)he kept scooting out of my way & every time he scooted i was pulled in a different direction-he thought I was trying to land on him, poor thing!I swear if i had physically been able to walk up their drive way without killing myself I was so cross i think they had a lucky escape!Stupid is really not the word!

Not horse related but equally stupid, finishing nightshift a couple of years ago now, decided to wash my windscreen which promptly froze, couldn't see diddly squat and had to pull over, this is after spending 12 hours watching vehicles
struggling on the ice bound bank outside the building, I should have known better, a colleague stopped and asked if I'd broken down, "no I said, just having a blonde moment"

^^^ I'm always doing the windscreen thing!!! Lost count of the amount of times I've done it, then have to pull over while it defrosts!

Our YO put a note up yesterday banning the use of the hose for washing off legs t the moment as that area is on a slope outside some stables. But it's just as hard at the taps to ensure people don't just spill water - I have a tap outside my stable and as one of the last up was relieved to see the concrete by the tap all bone dry last night until.... someone filled their bucket and then rather than sensibly asking me to help them carry it to their stable dragged it sloshing 3 puddles of water out of it. I have learnt to have a bag of my own grit and so chucked that down quickly as I'm the only one that ends up with an ice rink outside my stable otherwise.

My horse is really messy and plays with her water...she likes to get a bit mouthful, hold it in her mouth for a minute, then spit it out! She does this ALL DAY! Hence we have a frozen stream running from her door, across the yard to the drain.

Unfortunately everyone has to go this way to empty their Barrows so I imagine we are not in the good books with people at the minute!!!
