Why are you pleased with your horse at the moment? Just for fun!

Not please with mine, he dump me on concrete and broke my arm last week. But due to him bronking a second time and saddle hit my legs shooting me up a second time and he made me land on my arm instead of my head so pleased about that, or I would not be here now.

I've really enjoyed reading this thread. I'm particularly pleased with my horse at the moment because we've reached the stage where we can help people who are nervous or on young or tricky horses, lead past all sorts, hold gates open for people, go anywhere without worrying about any hazards... Its lovely, I'm very proud of him and he's still only seven.

I am horsey happy cos I had a fab long hack out yesterday for the first time in 5 months! The last 5 months has been crp which has consisted of slight lameness and box rest then straight after a serious condition resulting in facial paralysis and a pretty major op to remove a bone in her head! 8 further weeks of not riding while she recovered from that and then 5weeks after i did start riding she was diagnosed with cushings, hence the severe lethargy when I was riding. So The past 4 weeks have been spent adjusting to the cushings meds which have left my girly quite low still but I've kept riding to keep her fit. Yet yesterday we had our first longish hack with lots of cantering and she was full of beans for the first time since July!! I was so has happy! :-)

Because mine is coming back into work and staying sound! He's hairy, barefoot and not terribly clean and nothing like the smart little cob I bought just over a year ago but we are both very happy to be out and about and have hacked out the last two days with him on his toes and very keen to be off - haven't told him he's only walking until after Christmas.

:)
Proud of the new shettie for settling in so well and being such a gem for my three year old son. Pony is also three, and makes it her job to look after him, both on the ground and while he's riding.

They were out hacking the other week when nearby pheasant shooting started. She jumped which gave my son a bit of a fright, and when she heard him crying she slowed right down, you could see the fear in her eyes, the shooting was really close by and so loud, and even though she had her head right up looking for the danger she done so well to be brave for both of them, wee star.

She stands in the stable with her head over his shoulder and falls asleep, they're a perfect match, love her :)

That is so sweet! Brave pony!

I'm thrilled with my girl as she'll now load and travel well, hoorah! We've been able to hack on Cannock chase on our own and I feel like We really do have wings.

Today I'm pleased with my horse because he nailed the 'homework' he has been set, canter transitions.
To be honest I am always pleased with him, he's an absolute saint and hopefully he'll be a cracker when he's older.

I am pleased with my boy because I have been having some serious problems to get him to calm down when ridden, he is always anticipating the upwards transitions, jogging trying to dictate his own pace. On top of not listening, being to busy watching over the school fence at what everyone else is doing. But I had a lesson this morning and we had a breakthrough of getting him at a constant pace, and working much more through his back, carrying himself lovely and rounded. (Sorry can't help posting a pic, im a very proud mummy!)

Just to say as well the hyperflexion was not intended, I do not condone that!
