Why can’t I find this bit?

I’m looking for a double jointed Baucher with a half moon link. I can find every other mouthpiece under the sun with hanging cheeks, and half moon links with any other cheeks you can imagine, but not a combination of the two.

I need this, but without the bottom part 🙂:

If anyone can find one please let me know 🙏😂

Any good?

If you can spare that bit get the bottom part cut off and the cut smoothed down. We have done this with some bits.

They might not exist.

You can probably get one made.

Abbey might make one for you.
It seems odd they don't exist, given both cheeks and link are common and otherwise available :( I'm trying to avoid massive spending at this point. I used to get bits made about 25 years ago, when there wasn't such a wide range of them out there. Can't remember where I got them though, I think via a saddlery so it could have been anywhere.

Not quite the same like, but relatively close?

Close but I need more of a lozenge without the angles where it's linked 🙂

This thread made me laugh when I opened it because I went looking for the exact same thing about 2 years ago for my connemara. I came to the conclusion that they just don't exist, no idea why.

I tried a full cheek version of the same mouthpiece but pony did not approve, and then went for a verbindend angled mouthpiece on a hanging cheek instead as a closeish approximation, which she went very well in so that's what we've stuck with (not that i knew what a verbindend angled mouthpiece was prior to this adventure!). Don't know if you've tried one of those on yours?

I’m glad I’m not alone!

I’ve ordered a cheap version of the verbindend which should be here on Friday and I’m praying she’ll like it. I tried the full cheek and she’s ok in it and her other half moon snaffle, but she’s SO much happier in the Pelham that I’d love to have her in the baucher.

I’d love to know why this bit doesn’t exist though.
