I'm currently looking to buy a pure bred connie to do m&m working hunter with.

after hours of trawling the internet (not that im very competent with computers !) i'm struggling.

If i wanted a gelding i would have no problem - i can find loads but for some reason mares seem to be few and far between - am i missing something, is everyone keeping them to breed from or am i just not looking in the right places ?

I'm looking for a mare, 4-8 years, 14.2 + (but not overheight) thats been out hacking and is safe out (as my sister will be taking it for hacks) not to worried if it needs schooling on but it having the basics and having popped a jump would be beneficial !

not worried about colour as long as its healthy and clean limbed.

am i asking the impossible ? any ideas much appreciated

thank you so much for your replys, definately some calls to make there, sadly the mares i do find seem to be too small or older than i want - never realised how hard it was when you are looking for something specific !! buying my fist pony was much more straight forwards!!

whiteflower, you need a max height of 148 cm. i have a full connie mare 147cm, graded, registered. age 7. done pc/sj/xc/d/hunt. would sell. in warwickshire if interested.
