We have a lovely pony and i don't sem to be getting many phone calls.
We've had a few people come and see him but the problem is that he is not very forward going in the school but more forward going hacking, jumping and XC and even perkier after hunting.
My daughter took a while to get him going but doesn't have a problem any more but when we have a new rider on top, he looks difficult to get moving. I think he tests them and only goes as fast as the rider is capable of.
He's better with a stronger rider or someone with longer legs.

I really need to sell him and want him to go to a nice home. I have turned two people away as didn't think they were the right home for him.

Any ideas or tips

I had the same problem I suggest putting him on websites like horsemart, horseandhound, horseworld etc. also let lots of horsey people know ur selling him and get them to keep an eye out for people who are looking for a horse!

Can't sell mine either, just not getting the phone calls, cheep enough, and to top it all local paper has misprinted his height, 14.2hh instead of 13.2hh arrggggghh now got to wait another week for the paper to come out again.

I've put him on Horsemart and pony club, new rider and have tried horsequest. Horse and hound are expensive but will try if nothing else helps but i'm spending a fortune on advertising.
Also went round local hunt email group.
He has such a locely character and has really taught my daughter to ride to be able to go onto the next pony.

Do people only want "push button" ponies now?

can u pm me with where u r any info on the pony how much etc! might have a frinend who looking for 13.2ish family pony

Same with our lad, hasn't been ridden for 2 weeks, such a shame, he would make somone a fantastic competition pony, jump xc and would be wonderfull at WHP, hopfully somone will turn up, good luck

I know (well my mother knows) of someone who is looking for a 13.2hh. She is a PC kid (Bramham Moor). Not sure what they are looking for type wise but def that size. Don't now whereabouts you are though? This person is in Yorkshire

Have you thought about about waiting till the Autumn? My friend wanted to move her daughter onto a 13-2 at the end of last season so they would have the winter getting to know each other. She was looking for quieter ponies as her daughter is quite nervy but so was everyone else! As soon as she rung up ponies advertised as '2nd ponies' were sold or being viewed.

Also try putting adverts up at local riding schools or telling the owners they might have clients looking to buy.
