Am sick of getting up and coming to work in an office everyday and want my old life back working on a yard, getting up at 6 to feed horses and muck out and spending the day, riding, grooming and maintaing yard but gotton so used to Office money and need office money that I wouldnt be able to go bak! So un fair.

self indulgent post but I want to be back working on a yard where I belong rather than rushing madame in the morning and riding in the evening.I wanna do it all during the day !

Know how you feel. I've always worked in an office & only got my horse less than 6 years ago but every week it gets harder. Trouble is OH has health problems & may well have to take early retirement so I daren't give up my well paid job before the mortgage is paid off.

Tell me about it, I do not have a mortgage but I do have a loan to pay of plus a horse then next month a horse box and car and it goes on and on lol
But I thought if Iworked really really hard I could get a mortgage for a livery yard and problem solved. But If only it were that easy

I hate sitting on my ass 5 days a week 8 hours a day, I wanna be out side on my feet in the sun, rain and storms.
Im working for my own livery yard one day!

I know wxactly how you feel.... its even worse when you hate the job your in!!
I would love to be working with horses, I even looked into training as a saddler etc, but its so much training on a very small wage to start, I just couldn't do it with my bills!!
Count your self lucky though, I don't have a horse to see in the evening, after a stressful day in the office!!

Same as! I'd much rather be working with horses than stuck in a Office job! I'm thinking of doing some equine courses to get me out and about with them - maybe some sort of hollistic therapy where you don't have to do the human side of things first before you do the equine side!

I'm also thinking about doing my stage 3 so I become an AI and can then teach evenings and weekends!

I know how you're feeling. I'm also stuck in an office all day too.

I'd love to be outdoors all day rather than stuck in here - the lights give me a headache and I'm grumpy a lot.

But now that I have Belle I have something to work for (never mind the house etc), if I don't work, I don't have Belle. It's not a nice feeling but it keeps me going. And now that I have Belle the grumpiness is getting better as I have something to work towards and look forward to.

We bought our house about 2 years ago and so our mortgage is sky high, we are paying off a loan on our car (luckily to a family member so no interest) and all our bills seem to be going up and up, but we manage, just though.

We're on a flexible mortgage so if the rates go up I'm snookered!

Sorry I can't really help, just keep your chin up, and maybe book some time off if you can, that might just help a little bit.

I'm doing an HND in equine behaviour and welfare through home study, I pretend it's so that I can own a livery yard one day. Keeps me going too

I know its a hard one, any kind of work doing something I love and know a fair bit about would be good.
I did think about writting for an equine magazine something I can enjoy and talk abotu all day long lol

I'm doing my HND with the open college of equine studies (toces). They do degrees or smaller courses if you don't want to commit to a longer course. And I'm paying monthly for mine (now payed off, yippee!) so no big pay out.
