I have never posted a moan, but I am pi—sed off big time. One of the liveries has 2 stables within 1 large stable. Because she moaned they were too small for her ponies, & the mare was still producing milk & the daughter was still feeding (despite the mares being separated for 8yrs & they still share a field during the day), the YO gave her another stable. Anyway, get up there & the mare is looking over the main door with her stable door open to give her access to the area outside. She seems happy enough so I get on with my chores (Tamara & I have 4 stables to muck out, horses to feed etc). Another livery turns up & asks what is this mare doing, has she got out her stable. “I have no idea, I am too busy getting my own done”. To which she replied “Well, I hope you would not leave mine like that, oh you don’t like the owner”

Right
1) As I pointed out to her, we have found one of her horses out in the morning & have put him back in his stable.
2) The mare was happy & safe, & as it turned out the owner had left the door open intentionally
3) I have never said I do not like the owner, so where that come from I do not know
4) This is the same woman who last year left me to deal with a horse bleeding to death, because she had hers to get done before work!!
When will people just mind their own flipping business, I proved last year that if a horse needs my help I will give it. I phoned the owner, I stayed with the horse until help came which left me covered in blood & quiet upset as the mare was a lovely horse.

Mmmmm perhaps you came across a little harsh? "I have no idea I'm too busy doing my own" did come across a little uncaring. I'm sure the owner meant nothing by it and was just showing a bit of concern. Dont fret over it. Sounds like a storm in a tea cup.

I am venting my frustration for once, like many b4 me. I dont interfere in other peoples business, I gave the same answer that she gave me when she watched a horse bleed to death last year. Neither horse belonged to her the 1st one was obviously suffering judging by all the blood. The one this morning is just standing in the barn looking over the stable door while the internal stable door is wide open. Why should I be critisied for not interferring with it when it looked to to intent & purposes as if the owner had intended to leave the stable door open (as was the case). And more importantly why should I just stand there and take the comments from someone who did bugger all last year! I put her horse away when it got out, therefore her comment "Hope you would not do that to mine" is unjustified. I dont just leave horses to their own devices if they are not safe, but neither to I interfere with what looks like an intended action. Can I ask why so many others are permitted to have their rants yet the only comments I receive is what is my point?? I have never discussed anyone from the yard on here, or moaned about anything related to the yard or people.

I was going to say it all sounds like petty yard politics - but

Wow, what can you say to that?

Dont you just love livery yards!!!

Can i just ask something though, if she was so concerned about thet horse did she actually go and put it back?? If not then who is she to comment.

I would of left the horse too if it looked intentional and the horse was happy and in no immediate danger. You will only get moaned at by the horses owner if you had interferred.

No, not only did she not put it back, she did not even go over to check it. She just drove up parked her car, looked at it watching her from the stable, made her comments then went off to do her own. And yes I did go over to her & remind her that we had put her horse back a few months ago, that she had no right to make comments on my likes or dislikes, & I reminded her of last year. Left her feeling sheepish but no apology from her as yet. And I have been breething & do feel better for having my rant, like a few others today.

Rant justified I think, if you felt you needed it!!!! Had she been more helpful with the poor bleeding mare your answer may of been different!!!!
