Why did you choose your particular brand/type of feed?

Young un is on D&H. i decided to use this as i heard many good reviews about the particular feed on here actually! And im very happy with it

Chubby pony is on Spillers Happy Hoof, because shes chubby and has poor feet

Broodmare was on A&P old faithfuls because i think a&p have a fantastic range and have heard good things. She looked fab on it too. She is now on the same D&H feed as my youngster as baby is rapidly approaching!

I use D&H convalescent diet(sp??) at the moment, my feed shop recomended it and i think it has calmed him down on his box rest and put weight on him. Before this i used spillers cool mix because it kept him nice and sane

We feed Top Spec Anti Lam balancer because it ensures that our horses get everything they need in terms of minerals, vitamins, biotin to help feet etc without excessive calories. And use non molassed chaff to bulk it out a little bit.

The reason we chose Top Spec was because although it isn't the cheapest balancer, time and again it comes out top in terms of nutritional content in independent tests and that was what was important to us.

I feed Safe & Sound as both of mine are good do'ers. I have tried Happy Hoof but my boy leaves the cubes. I also feed Hi Fi Lite, Speedy Beet and Bailey's Lo Cal Balancer.

Sorry, but this is also very unscientific and not at all researched: I feed Happy Hoof because my vet told me to when my mare first came down with Laminitis four years ago. She has nothing else.

I feed molichaff and D&H pony nuts because they're cheap and the only reason my horse gets anything (she get a tiny handful of each) is to keep her amused when the others are being fed!

Price has a big influence. I don't really buy mixes so brands aren't really relevant.

I feed Dengie alfalfa original as I really like alfalfa and trust Dengie.

Then my old boy who is sugar and cereal intolerant gets unmollassed speedibeet and fibre nuts as these are ome of te few things he can eat! The fibre nuts are Highlight ones which are good value and do the job well.

My other chap who can be a bit lazy gets crushed oats and normal sugarbeet as well as his alfalfa to perk him up a bit (plus he does work quite hard).

Hope this helps, basically when I am thinking of changing feed I do it based on the ingredients not who manufactures it.
