Watching the horses this morning on the tv prepare for the wedding, most of the horses nod, I've seen it before - anyone know why?
Why? do ceremonial horses nod?

bored, fidgety, wanting to be somewhere else doing something more interesting! Also hot/uncomfortable etc.
They are well trained but still just animals. A lot of hanging around in a large crowd in an 'atmosphere' and I think they are pretty restrained just to nod.

OH (ex Kings Troop) says also, the bridles are very heavy, the horses have a state bit in that rattles when they play with it. And all that standing around is very boring (except when one of the Cav lot falls off).
