Honestly!!! I spend £35 on a all singing - all dancing - uv defying fly mask for my darling pink skinned precious and he thinks its a very amusing game to deftly remove it in less than 5 mins of turnout! So I strap it on firmly with a field safe head collar, mooch off to work happy as larry!
Return 8 hours later to find a very sunburnt horse (regardless of his added suncream!) sporting his lovely headcollar and NO FLYMASK!!! Said flymask has been neatly deposited in the neighboring field!!
So after night of being moistrised with pure aloe vera gel I return with TOP BRAND 50+ spf sun cream, which is applied with zest all over his git big mug along with fly spray/gel and a fly fringe (pink HA!). Turn him out, tidy up, go to check him what do I find?!!!
He is eye balls deep in the water trough!! Blowing bubbles and splashing around (sun cream clearly states to reapply after swimming!) WHY I ASK? WHY BUDDY?
Oh yes my bright eyed and bushy tailed OH has decided it would be cute to see if he would dunk for his morning apple! Really?!!!
Sun cream reapplied (half the bottle gone), fat lip from peed off horse and late for work.
Today is one of those days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rant over fin!
