Does anyone have a horse that likes to undress themselves for no apparent reason?
Just wondering really as I had a text message today to say my 2.5 year old was naked. Found him looking quite pleased with himself, quite warm (not warm warm but not cold at all) and his rug almost intact. He'd lost one belly surcingle but his neck cover was completely done up and the front buckles were still done up too and the other surcingle was done up too

I don't think he wanted to wear it, in fact i think he started something as another horse had their rug off too with one broken strap.

My youngster did this with his fly rug in summer, every buckle and surcingle was done up, neck still done up. Houdini pony! He did this a few times before i gave up and just left it off. Perhaps he didnt want it on.

My daughter's pony decided he didn't like neck rugs even tho he is clipped and he somehow managed to rip both surcingles clean off a brand new Masta rug!! He now only wears standard necks or a high neck for really cold weather and leaves these intact.

My horse has managed to get a rug with a neck attached off, all straps still done up and no rips. Stupidly I'd forgotten to put her tail over the strap. At least nothing was ripped, no clue how she did it though!
