Why do I have to log in every time I come on here?

Yes yes and yes!!

Ongoing problems....... first nothing was broken, so "Admin" fixed it. Then there were problems, and they needed to fix the "fix". Then everything (seemed) OK'ish for a while, so because nothing was wrong, they fixed it.

Then because they fixed it, it went wrong again, so they tried to fix it, but couldn't.

So now they're trying to fix it after the last fix which didn't work.

Simples really.

Same here..and gave up trying to reset my password so set up a second account which I can't adjust any of the setting on.
And yes, Mijods..the more they fix it the more broken it gets..
 
As said on the poll thread, I now have a new computer and I have to log in every time despite ticking 'remember me', my old computer is still running and logs me in automatically?
 
Yes, but it takes me seconds. Not the biggest worry in my life at the moment to be honest. I am sure admin will sort it out as soon as they can.

Yes but other people were having problems - so that's why they needed to "fix" things.

I am finding it frustrating having to log on every time, but I am sure "they" will get it sorted as soon as possible. As the ever sensible Polar_Skye says, it's only a few seconds and not that important in the grand scheme of things to worry about in daily life!
 
Sigh. I'll come back some other time when I don't have to keep logging in and changing browsers to find one that will let me reply. Picks up coat, coffee cup and other belongings and waves ta ta for a while.
 
Another one who wasn't having any problems at all until the latest fix. I'm having to log in every time too, and if i don't then immediately change pages on the forum two or three times (like within a second) it goes to some blank page and won't do anything.
 
after he initial problems a short time ago, my problem was resolved. now i find i too am being logged out every time i leave. i thanked admin with a thread and some posts in other threads. sorry but wish i had not bothered now.
 
Me too fed up they do not seem to know how to mend it. I had no probs till they did the latest fix. Now it is a pain in the********** really rubbish
 
Me too, but my details are cached so I just click in the box and it automatically fills in my log in. Takes 2 seconds :)

Oh and I'm using Chrome on Windows 8.
 
Yep, and it's really winding me up. It's also not just a few seconds as it's deleting my password (firefox remembers it, pulls it up, then deletes it when I try to sign in on the first attempt) so it's taking me two attempts or I have to type it out, which is just infuriating.

So are mine, but I have gone back to only being able to log on by quoting a message. When they did the fix the other day it was okay temporarily, then returned to how it was. It doesn't really bother me - I'm hardly a prolific poster, but I am a bit surprised that with all the IT brainwork needed to set up and run the system the boffins don't seem to be able to find what's wrong, let alone fix it.
 
No problems logging in or staying logged in, BUT..... Have been unable to post anything or reply to anything for everal weeks (it did let me for a couple of days then stopped again). Have had to lurk only - very frustrating especially as it wouldn't even let me tell Admin!!!!
 
Me too regarding not remembering me to log in. Noticed there were some differences when I went on the forum between my tablet and laptop as the tablet had missing posts on threads.

I am sure all will be sorted eventually but probably not as quick as we all like.
