arghhh I cant stop looking at horses for sale/loan even though I am not in a position to get another yet - have huge vet bill to pay 1st - I could've bought a nice horsey with what I am paying them...worth it though to be fair!

Just getting really wound up with myself as I soooo want a new horse in my life to love like I love moose and merls would be a 5star home thats for sure...just wish I could win the lotto and buy one or two or maybe 3 or 4..but sadly thats not going to happen is it?...what am i thinking??

Why is it though that when you cant have something there's always something you really really like....and there's a horse on here from a member that I really adore their horse...sad or what?

With a broken pony and a heart full of love for a new one and I cant give it....such a shame!

Pointless but there we go....sorry about that...i'm off to get some choccy instead

I agree with the choccy - eat your way through a big bar and stuff the calories! Poor you, I felt the same way when I sold Zippy - I loved him so much but in my heart I knew I could never ride him properly. It will get better I'm sure x

I dont know how - but i remember your posts - you lost your horse the day before i lost mine.

I am the same as you - i look at them every day but don't even know if i want another. Miss the lifestyle and my old horse so much but for some reason - doing it all again scares the hell out of me even though its the only life i've ever known!

hope you get what you want real soon
xx

I know how you feel!
I got a welsh a on loan and when he was taken back i was meant to be getting a 15hh safe cob ..
Ended up getting a mare whos been a broodmare for years, a complete nutter and theres no way im gonna be riding her for a while. To top it all ive ended up having to get her a companion so that puts the 15hh cob back even further!! lol
Dont get me wrong i love them to pieces but i wish i had one to ride sometimes

blimey you have a good memory...

I work with horses and yes I do have mins but it's not quite the same as having one to go out and do stuff with I would like to get into SH / WH classes I am ready for a new neddy but its the buying cost for me the looking after and keeping of it isnt...what gets me is that there are people out there that have these animals yet dont want them or anything that makes me sad as here I am wanting a new friend to love and adore....
It is a way of life for many of us and being without one to do stuff with is very hard.

Claire - I am sure you will be going along the lines of a new one when you feel it's right to you i too miss my boy very much each day I think of him..

I'd read your posts and yeah its horrid isnt it, when do you think you'll be able to start on your mare?

she certainly sounds like she's going to be fun

If it is just the buying what about a loan? Or a charity horse?

There are TB rehoming charities that will let you have a horse on permanent loan if it is to a good home. They do charge a rehoming fee I think but that is a few hundred. Some of them do a lovely job of reschooling the horses first rather than them being straight of the track.

have thought about that option but i really would like a nice WH//SH type.

I have looked at loan horses too but can only find ones that are miles away and wouldn't move, will be looking for definate after xmas so it gives me some extra time to save and find something suitable it's just the waiting game thats horrible

Kezz how is Minnie doing?

Also why not advertise for a loan horse 'as you would like?' Must be someone who is thinking 'Wish I could put xx on loan but who would want ....?' or 'I'd advertise for a loan home for xx, but you only get numpties replying to adverts' and it might be just the perfect match.

yeah will be doing that after xmas, had a chat to OH and he says its OK so great news...yipeee.

Mins is doing OK i've gone back to square one with her though back to box rest for a couple of weeks and will be getting vet back out to hopefully scan her leg to see whats actually happening inside her leg and work out what to do from there, she certainly hasnt lost her cheekiness thats for sure she's such a little minx she really is but that is wht everyone who knows her loves her....she is a babe.

Thanks for asking and also bout helping me with jobs etc etc...
