I got a driving hackney once. He was terrified of the carriage so I broke him in to ride. He was comfortable, nice and willing. He had a fantastic jump so I sold him to a pony club home where he went on to do everything asked. He was only sold on again when hopelessly outgrown.

I am struggling to find another too - they are certainly marmite breeds (very good expression)! There seems to be a complete lack of breeders / hackney (or hackney x's) in east anglia which is a shame!

Around 15.2

Ok that's the sizei want I would pay a decent price for the right one that would be bay or black ( matches my carriage).
Show quality conformation
Good bloodlines ( am just starting to think about this and research I'd needed that's why I asked the question)
and I would prefer a gelding to keep the yard all boys.
I never do the what will you pay for it thing I like the owner to name the
Price then I decide if I am prepared to pay I am lucky that within reason I can afford anything I fancy.
I have a driving horse at the mo but they difficult to buy made so I am thinking of getting a young one to come along behind him and I think I want a hackney / DWB or crossed section D.

She is lovely, the only reason my YO got her was because she wanted another filly (the pally in the first pic) and she doesn't have any youngsters for her to play with so ended up getting this one too. She isn't into driving at all though, but did say she would send her away to be professionly broken to harness. In the meantime if anyone shows interest YO will sell.
