first rant, i am so peed off right now. i have someone who hasn't seen my horse ridden telling me that i don't know how to ride and i can't ride her properly. really pees me off when people think they know what works with your horse better than you who has 3/4 lessons a week with a instructor who is training to become BSJA accredited.

anyone else attracted these numptys? or is it just me?

No I have attracted this type of person in my life and it bugs the hell out of me, I know my horse's inside and out and know how they tick etc etc...and you say the person hasnt seen your horse ridden, so how on earth do they know that??.....'they had a chat in your horse's ear or something?'..daft numpties...i'd used to say oh really think you know so much you get on and do it then...funnily enough they never did, he wasnt the easiest of boys to ride and neither is minnie but if someone ever tells me how to do something when being ridden I always offer them to get on....as I know Minnie will take pee of out them esp if they havent a clue....and be tanked off with or whatever it's quite funny to see it....ha ha

me!! well not personally. there was a woman who was selling her beautiful sec D mare. these people came and viewed her, and the woman selling was telling the truth by telling them lucy did everything but not xc. so the people stayed, rode lucy and went home claiming they were really interested. the next day we then had the rspca down our yard (where lucy was stabled) claiming that these people had rang up complaining that we hadnt treated her ''serious bad back'' that this pony was meant to have had (but didnt as the owner had just had her 5staged vetted before she decided to sell and came back all positive) so basically these people claiming they were super interested had infact gone home, rang the rspca saying all of that above just becuase lucy didnt do xc!!!!! unbelievable!!!! what numpties. ohh then we later found out these people had done this before and claimed around the same stuff about another 3 ponies :O

Ah yes, the 'expert', this species is well known in horsey circles, and you know what they say, an ex is a has-been and a spurt is no more than a wet drip!!

They are always the first to pass judgement, but wouldn't dream in a million years of getting on and showing how it should be done!!!!

My hubby once had some old biddy going mad at him for leaving our horse out in the snow without a "coat," the horse in question was a two year old heavy cob, he had a layer of unmelted snow on his back. Hubby pointed out that if the snow on him wasnt melting then must have a very good layer of insulation all of his own, when she thought about it she appologized!

oh i know what you mean about 7 years ago we kept our horses at wee yard the lady who owned it one of those "experts" had about 7 horses of her own none of which were ever ridden due to non -existent "medical problems" anyway we eventually left as this woman kept telling folk that my horse should be put down not very nice when theres nothing wrong with it ...my girl still goin strong
