Nothing wrong with a cob as long as it's not in my stable! All that hair to groom - the mane and the feathers and as for two different colours on the body area - it's just not natural! Horses are supposed to be bay, chestnut, or grey! LOL x

Sharon19595, Shils, he, she or it, whatever Shils is is bored. Do not get wound up. He, she or it enjoys it.

Noooo, that is sooooo wrong. Shils is just a small person that doesn't know why people want to own cobs and we must educate.

It is our duty. Be a good samaritan.

Totally agree. I have a cob and a WB/TB. Love them both dearly, but its the cob who has my heart.

Trouble is not everyone agrees, and there are small minded individuals out there who dont like and appreciate them. Maybe some brave should start a thread entitled 'Why do people want to own warmbloods/TBs'. It would have the WB and TB owners baying for your blood.

Live and let live. Ignorance is not always bliss.

No, no no - you need to be educated! Horses are supposed to have thin legs with small, delicate feet, fine hair, a beautifully pulled mane, trimmed tail, and a nice small head!!
As far as I know, they are supposed to spend most of their life on bute and antibiotics when their paper thin skin is ripped open and also most of the time should be spent minus at least one shoe, and the vet should also be prebooked for a regular weekly visit....actually make that twice weekly!!

I refer you to my previous post reminding you that a battle of wits is only fair if both sides are armed ie Alli vs Shils = ok, S1959 vs Shils = bit like fighting with a limp cucumber against Wilkinsons' finest

It is a terrifying thought isn't it?

No, I think your horse is just becoming a native Cumbrian - I swear I saw a woman today wearing a skirt who had hairier ankles than your horse....
You see, by having non-hairy legs, your horse would be seen as an "off-comer" and you know how those are not liked in these parts.....so all your horse is doing is trying to fit in with the locals...

And the problem is, with his accent, the others will be constantly asking him where he comes from......tell him to grow another hoof, or at least get a cloven hoof and nobody will ask any more questions....I had to grow webbed feet just to fit in....

O you guys. You're so naughty.

As the owner of a TB and a TBxWB (what ever that gives you, mostly TB) I want a bloody cob!!

One has had a fat leg for two weeks now from a tiny cut and the other is just a knobber!! Anyone with a cob want to swab and be 'educated' in dinky feet and pretty heads.

I will never understand it.
They are fat, lazy, hairier than Bigfoot, and usually bad tempered.
Their paces are so stilted, that they look as though they've had their legs tied together, which gives the rider a nasty jolty ride.
I suppose I can understand riding schools having them, for the scaredy novices, but once you can rise to the trot, surely you'd buy a decent blood horse, or at least a Warmblood?
Your thoughts?
S :D

I was about to say I can't believe this thread is still going:eek: Then saw you have started it again and then gone off ? Is it to see how long it will continue again? Also COBS ARE BETTER THAN TB's:p:D
