why do posters change their ids?

I actually didnt know you could. Iv actually been thinking about making a new account as people who know me will notice who i am by my name straight away and id rather they never :D
So how do i do it?

well i did get hassle so iasked admin to delete my account - then i rejoined xxx
 
I changed mine on another forum purely cos I stupidly used my own name and being a teacher, realised that that was a really dumb idea.:o
 
I changed mine because I got a new horse. My old log in was my old horse's initials, I now use my new horse's show name.

I do have my old name in my signature though so its not like I'm hiding anything!
 
id have said but those who liked bluelady might have been those who liked narky mares too - after i changed my name i realised they mite think im into the dominance stuff now lol
plus im new here so didnt think anyone would notice - no need to explain etc etc xxxx

might change again now - Frigid Flora sounds good :)
 
well I didnt mean to change mine but I was without internet for a long time and when I came back forum had changed and I had to register again and got confused with the various log ins and passwords !
 
Changed mine twice...1st time was a couple of years ago because i forgot my password and changed my email account so when they sent me a reminder email i could no longer read it so had to register again and the last time was a year ago when i lost my horse and changed my name to my new horses registered show name.
