Why do SJs not use single flap saddles?

Ok was talking about this with a friend and we could not work it out - all the eventers do pretty much so was just wondering why SJs did not? If you see them they have close contact but with long girths and 2 flaps.

Had same convo with YO's son who thinks im mad jumping in my single flap saddle - he says he would slip and slide all over the place.
This coming from someone who adores riding in hard, heavy Stubben saddles.

Still didnt really find out the reason why

We have 2 single flap saddles jaguar and amerigo. When we wanted the amerigo altered my son tried a traditional amerigo and finds he sits better in this than the single flap. I think it boils down to personal preference.

No, they are on about the sweat flaps not being there. The top flap is still there, and underneath, there is just the knee roll bit not the whole flap. I hope this makes sense.
