ok I just need some reassurance that things are going to be ok?! Got the Nationals on Sat and Louis currently has a fat leg and I have an increasingly worsening cold and temperature

and my instructor picked up yesterday that my pelvis is slightly twisted and I need a "tweak" to get me straight! I very rarely get ill and Louis hasn't had any problems like this in the 10 yrs i've owned him...so why now!

Anyway words of wisdom may help

Yoo did something right to get to the nationals

so focus on the positives. You and horsey will pull it all off and rule the world(so to speak)!
Good luck!
xx

Lots of echinacea and orange juice for you and drink as much water as you possibly can to to try and flush it out. Can't offer much help for Louis' leg- hopefully just a bit of mudfever or something similar. Positive vibes heading your way- hope the nationals go well for you and your smexy orange ponio!

Hose, hose and hose Louie's leg as much as you can and put ice tight on it is well as long as there isn't a cut.

You will get to Nationals!

Oh no, I can't better any of the advice already given to you, but I am sending you lots of positive vibes for the weekend. Good luck and think positive you will get there.

Can you get him to an equine spa? really works well on fatlegs!
As for you lots of vitamin C and some tablets for flu should help..
The tweak of the spine may be something that is happening rather than you doing it, amy be a good idea to see an osteopath.

Thanks everyone for the advise and support! Just back from stables and had a good schooling session with the little man. He came in from turnout and the swelling had gone down quite a lot. It swelled up a little again in his stable but then reduced again after schooling. He feels well and isn't lame on it (thank god!) so heres just hoping it goes down!

As for me, hubby is providing me with lots of hot cups of tea and I have been downing the echinacea! I am still feeling fluey but hopefully with rest it will get better by friday! xxx

Katiejaye, this is just normal prep for a big comp!

Stress, stress and more stress!

Sod's Law, I think they call it re. timing. Seriously, I hope everything is fine. You've a few more days yet and as everyone else says, keep dosing up on the cold remedies.

Naughty Finn though. Don't give the orange one any bute as it's a banned substance and they can random test at Champs.

We're off in an hour or so, Good Luck to you and will wait reports!

thanks everyone for the words of support! Good luck Bananaman to you too.

Thanks P_G, i'm hoping for the best. I rode last night and the swelling seemed to go down after working him and he's still sound.

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear you too are unwell. Do you know what's causing it? So sorry to hear you're poorly. I am hoping that you too are better by the time you compete, I have my fingers and toes crossed that you too are better xxx
