Well this is likely to get me shot down in flames and probably slated for being cruel and uncaring etc
but

i would like to enquire why people feel it necessary to report people so quickly for every little thing they do on there own land or with there horse?

it is a pet hate of mine when people have problems with other people that they feel they have to report said person to an authority instead of havin a word with them personally!

this little rant is not aimed at anyone but i've just noticed a few "who shall i report this to" posts recently with subjects rangin from bridleways to field management and horse care

Rant over

Hmmm well.... I can't speak for others but I have reported a dodgy gate on a bridleway before. I reported it because it was not on hinges - it was tied to a post using baler twine - and I couldn't get through it without getting off. I felt it needed someone to have a word with the farmer and the local Bridleways officer (or whatever they are called) did just that and it was sorted

Agree sometimes people can go a bit OTT though

I tend to mind my own business unless i was seriously concerned about a horses welfare i'd just quietly moan to myself. I've never actually complained about anyone or anything

Well, I will get shot down too, as I agree with you.
Posts ranting about vets/farriers and refusing to pay too.
